Ah, that sounds like a pretty handy technique...! Thank you, I'll consider that. THAT'S PRETTY AWFUL...if only technology was more reliable e_e it's good that there's at least your method now to avoid being completely locked out of potentially important things. (My condolences for your files, though...know that feeling of having to say goodbye to things you've saved over time.)

(alot of it was like art files and stuff, but thankfully like the month prior i bought an iphone that was 64 gigs, so any song that was worth it IMO was on there, and i recovered that no problem. It occurred to me any REAL old files, i can find from another hardrive from an old laptop again probably... )

Thankfully, we have things now like the One Drive, and I am forcing myself to use my harddrives to back up files more.

(That's a bummer, having things you're planning on doing or keeping track of and losing them :^( CLOSE SHAVE THERE it sounds like you have quite a bunch of hard drives lying around)

My computer does this every now and then and I keep telling myself, next time I'll be more careful and back up more often, but... |D I kind of forget and it happens again. THAT'S THE FIRST I'VE HEARD OF IT TY FOR THE HEADS-UP...if only we could see into the future and predict when these things happen so we'll be prepared.
